Celebrity Couples Who Give Us Serious #Relationshipgoals

“Nothing lasts forever” is a term most likely coined for romances in the entertainment industry, where celebrities change their partners faster than we can keep count. While we lament the relationships that could have been as well as the end of several prolific marriages that everyone thought would last (hello Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner / Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt), there are famous couples who still continue to keep the flame alive — and our hopes as well.

So for all of us out there, whether single and available or very taken, here are 7 celebrity couples that are legit #relationshipgoals –

1. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

· Married for 5 years

· 2 daughters

To not include the Deadpool star and Gossip Girl hottie on this list would be an absolute blasphemy, the two probably Tinseltown’s most adored couple. Not only are they both easy on the eyes, their public display of affection is endearing and hilarious, the witty Reynolds poking fun at his wife and admiring her all the same. Take for example his little thank you speech to Lively at the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in December last year — if that is not love, we don’t know what is.

2. Anna Faris and Chris Pratt

· Married for 8 years

· 1 son

We know them for their comedic careers (Pratt in Parks and Recreation, Faris in the Scary Movie series) and intelligent humour but the two are also super in love with each other. So despite a public prank call about getting arrested (courtesy of Faris), they still forgive each other of such trespasses and manage to make all of us jealous with their common hobby of collecting dead bugs. Heck, Pratt even serenaded his wife on Saturday Night Live, which pretty much melted us into a puddle.

3. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

· Married for 4 years

· 2 daughters

A goody two shoes falls in love with a tattooed fella who used to do drugs and alcohol: sounds like the makings of star-crossed lovers but is actually the true story of Shepard and Bell. There will inevitably be conflict when opposites attract but their relationship warms our heart, especially when they openly shared how they attend counselling sessions to make their marriage work.

Guess it also helps that Shepard knows what his wife likes — and by that, we mean her undying obsession with sloths.

4. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski

· Married for 7 years

· 2 daughters

While it may be difficult to picture Jim Halpert with anyone else but Pam Beesly, Krasinski’s off-screen wife, Blunt, is a very likeable person as well. The pair have shared with reporters their first impressions of each other, with Krasinski quite smitten at first sight and Blunt confirming that the feeling was mutual — even to the extent of calling him the “perfect man” for her. Aside from the usual lovey-dovey moments, the two are also game for some light-hearted fun, having both challenged talk show host Stephen Colbert to a “vomit-off”.

5. Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun

· Married for 9 months

· No children yet (but many pets)

While they have not been married for very long, the newlyweds are the epitome of marital bliss in their hipster wedding photo shoot, so much so that they decided to share their bliss with other people. Opting for a cosy wedding with loved ones instead of splurging on a lavish ceremony, the kind-hearted Goo and Ahn donated what they would have spent on their wedding to a children’s hospital to fund disease research and rest facilities for the young patients — a thoughtful gesture by the young couple.

6. Kate Pang and Andie Chen

· Married for 5 years

· 1 son and 1 daughter

One of my favourite local celebrity couples is none other than the wisecracking Pang and rising star Chen: how they deftly kept their relationship under wraps for over a year then announcing their married statuses and little one on the way was beyond us, but theirs is a marriage that has overcome the sorrow of a miscarriage before the birth of their second child.

Today, the pair make up half of a happy family of four and never fail to entertain us with their amusing antics, which have upgraded to parent-level after the creation of their family channel on YouTube.

7. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

· Married for 3 years

· 1 son and 1 daughter (twins !)

Seriously though, even if Patrick Harris and Burtka deny that they are the perfect team, most people will beg to differ. After a decade of dating before being legally wedded, they have won legions of fans over with their affectionate ways and kind words about each other, as well as becoming one of many faces for the gay community.

Of course, when talking about Patrick Harris and Burtka, their mega adorable twin children cannot go unmentioned. Not only is their Halloween game as a family strong — it is unbeatable, with the annual event an elaborate and ultra coordinated costume affair.
